Courtney Daffinrud, BCBA, LBA

Clinical Director

After building her career by consulting in various school districts, Courtney developed a vision for KABH in order to provide humanistic, behavioral services to children with autism in a clinical setting.  Her motivation was to target the immediate needs of her community and provide programming for clients prior to entering school.  The motivation was always to develop client abilities, prepare them for their educational careers, and guide their navigation into this world.  Courtney always prioritized using best practice and professional knowledge, though was just as committed to providing services with a humanistic heart, focused on the individual.  With this mindset, KABH grew quickly from one client in one classroom into two full clinics with over 40 employees and clients.  As much as client practice, Courtney cared deeply about establishing a work environment where employees wanted to be everyday and be proud members of the KABH community.

Courtney and her husband Eric built a beautiful life in Kirby, VT with their three children, Lennon, Sawyer, and Anders.  Courtney treasured spending time with family and hosting her large family for gatherings at their renovated farmhouse.  Courtney suffered from health challenges throughout her life and passed away in July of 2024 due to a failed organ transplant.

Courtney was a stabilizing force, a voice of reason, a cheerleader, a caretaker and some whose advice was always treasured.  She left behind a supportive and caring KABH community who continues to grow KABH in her memory.
